so I've been getting e-mails from BU telling me that I am ineligible to register for classes next semester because I'm missing three immunizations: mumps, rubella and tetanus. please note, that they say I have been vaccinated for measles which is the same shot as mumps and rubella. I asked my mother who has a record of all my immunizations at home and she had the records of all of it. so I bothered the student health services. and after some hassle and me telling them that I did get the shots, they looked up my chart. and it turns out. that someone missed a page of my records that said I had gotten them. sigh. I hate these types of things. at least everything is alright now. I can register. but for a little bit I thought I was going to have some problems with the university (again).

So I just got back from the greatest place in the world: Cape Cod. It was so beautiful and the water was amazing! We stayed in this little town called Hyannis (which is where the Kennedy Compound is.) My grandmother went out of Boston on a cruise two Sundays ago and last Sunday when she got in, she called me and said “pack a bag we’re going to the Cape!” so we stayed there until today. It was great. Really quaint.

and here is what it looked likeCollapse )

rundown

it's nice to know that when you are standing on the edge looking death insanity in the face, you've got people who will quite litterally pick you up and carry you back to safety.
thank you
I love you guys
so you may or may not have noticed my sudden absence from the internet world as of late.
I apologize, I have had some real life stuff to deal with.
some stuff that I have been avoiding for a while but not quite been able to deal with.
after some long talks with Linds, everything seems much clearer.
I won't be around this weekend much because of moving but hopefully I'll spend some time on my compy.

my weekend looks like this:

Friday: work 8:30-12 @ OCS; move 12-6; work 6-1:30/2ish @ Blockbuster
Saturday: work 8:30-5:30 @ OCS; work 6-1:30/2ish @ Blockbuster
Sunday: work 8:30-5:30 @ OCS; work 6-12:30/1ish @ Blockbuster

this we call the anticipation of hell.
I can't wait for Monday, i.e. my day off.
so my first official two job day! one from 8:30am-5:30pm and one from 6pm-1:30am and I'm still alive! barely

omg kill myself

living in a freshman dorm after having an apartment is not doable. and we're not talking kitchenette and bathroom freshman dorms. we are talking all that is in my room is two desks two beds and two dressers. for bathroom its communal, but we have the handicapped accessible floor so there are only two showers and two toilets. (showering in a 2'x2' cubby this morning = not happy) and for kitchen we have to use the dining hall which wouldn't usually be terrible. but they have decided to do some crazy hours. like 7-9, 11-1:30 and 5-7 for breakfast, lunch and dinner. usually they are open all day. these are the times when we usually don't go to the dining hall. and they aren't being nice about it anymore either. usually they don't kick people out immediately when they clothes (I know b/c I worked there for a couple unhappy months) but today they yelled at me b/c I tried to refill my drink at 1:30 exactly. I just wanted a mouthful of something to wash my food down before I left. and they were all dicky about it. they let me (they kinda had to b/c they turned the machine on for a building and grounds guy and I was standing right behind him. they guy was all "*huffs* fine. HURRY!" and then the food selection sucked. they didn't even have anything to put in a salad. they had lettuce dressing and sticks of celery (which you don't put sticks of in a salad). I was so annoyed. and usually there is a pasta station where you can get noodles if nothing else appeals to you. gone. one of two things is going to happen. either I will loose a lot of weight living here (b/c there is almost nothing to eat) or I will over compensate by eating way too much junk food to fill me up.
I'm glad this is only three weeks.
at the same time part of my head is screaming "how can we live like this for three weeks?"
the best part is that there is absolutely no reason why we should have to live here. we had to move here and now we'll have to move to south campus (which is deliciously closer to Quiznos! hurrah!). at the end of it all we move back to our original place on Bay State.
curse you warren towers!

first day at the new job

and surprisingly, making beds and folding towels was actually fun? yeah I'd say so.
people were awesome and friendly. and it looks like the beginning of a good summer.
actually, this was the beginning to a great summer!
oh! and today I kept tapping my leg lightly on the bed frames where I work. I now have a lumpy bruise on my leg. but I never banged it only touched it to the frame. so yeah, I bruise too easy. (a fact that had me believing that I had leukemia when I was a child because of a Charlie Brown thing where a girl had leukemia and she lightly ran into a bus and she was all "oh no! now I'll have a bruise! I bruise too easily!" and when she found out she had leukemia she was all "remember Charlie Brown when I bumped into the bus and I bruised? well this is why." and I was all O_O "oh god I bruise easily I have leukemia!" I didn't/don't but I was terrified of it for ever. (I was like 6 at the time.) it is also a fact that kept me from playing soccer after first grade. I looked like an abused child when I got home.)
and secondly, I did not cut/dye my hair. it's a wig that I got for cosplay that I intend to mold and shape into something meaningful. XD I think going that short and that blond all at once would have put me well into shock!
